John Griffin has written a booklet describing the social conditions at the time that Church was established and its importance to the town during the 19th century.
He also describes the history of some of the architectural features of the church building. He concludes:
"The impact of those who established Holy Trinity Church was immense, and it can be argued that they were the key founders of the community as it is today at its best, and, that the building stands as a statement of what is best and most important in the community".
You can buy a printed booklet for £2.50 in the parish centre at the church. Or read it online here: The Church In The 19th Century by John Griffin
